To be clear, vip the current situation is bad for all League of Legends players, whether you are usi

We are keenly aware that Summoners vip have been experiencing disconnects and in-game lag when playing League of Legends, and have implemented a new measure that aims to reduce disconnects as well as in-game lag.
We have previously explained how the disconnects and in-game lag that users are experiencing are caused by the congestion vip in the internet connection between Globe and the PH League of Legends platform ( readmore here ). We have been actively working with Globe to resolve this issue, and while Globe have committed to increase their internet bandwidth that connects to our server, the increase in bandwidth will only occur some time in the future.
To be clear, vip the current situation is bad for all League of Legends players, whether you are using Globe or another ISP. When the Globe line gets congested, Globe users will experience disconnects and in-game lag. In addition, this will also sometimes cause all players in certain League of Legends games to experience lag and delays (no matter what ISP you are using), sometimes to the point of making the game unplayable. This is why after extensive discussions with Riot Games, we have decided to take action now to improve the current situation while waiting for the Globe upgrade to be implemented.
The measure we are implementing is a quota on the total number of Globe users who can login to League of Legends at any one time. When the quota is reached, Globe users will see a notice when they try to launch League of Legends from Garena+, informing them that they should try to login at a later time or login using a different internet connection. vip We expect Globe users to most likely to encounter this message during peak periods from 3pm to 9pm.
While this may mean that some Globe users have to wait a while before they can login to the League of Legends server, having this cap will provide the best possible experience to all Summoners on the PH server. Globe users will experience fewer incidences of disconnects and lag, which means you can play games without having to worry about disconnects or lag causing you to lose games, League Points or even your Promotion Series. Other non-Globe users will benefit as well, as they also experience fewer incidences of in-game lag and delay, and can have teammates from Globe who can play to their full abilities.
In addition, by being able to control the impact of Globe congestion on the PH server, we can actually increase the total number of Summoners who can play on our server, which means shorter or no waiting time in login queue for all Summoners.
Again, the Globe-specific cap is an interim measure that we are adopting to optimise vip the experience for all Summoners while we wait for Globe connectivity to be improved, and we hope the above explains why this is a good move for everyone.
We understand your frustration regarding this matter. We would like to clarify that this measure that we have implemented is actually not to prevent Globe users from accessing League of Legends nor are we putting vip the blame on Globe users or Globe Telecom.
This is actually put in place so that we can minimize frequent disconnections and lags in-game not just for Globe users but for everyone. We are aware that this may not be the most ideal solution but we strongly feel that this can be the one that can help the most. For those who got disconnected earlier vip this morning, vip this is not related to the implementation of this new measure but a bad timing vip where the entire IDC had a fluctuation which has also affected all services in the same data center including Garena’s other games.
This temporary solution is in place for a while to minimize inconveniences to LoL players in general. This is expected to be removed as soon as the congested Globe line is upgraded, of which Globe has committed that they plan to complete this by end of November (read our update on this here: http://lol.garena.ph/news/lags-and-login-queue-updates-august-30-2013 )
We would like to confirm that indeed our PH servers are hosted in a PLDT-owned data center. We made this decision because among all local data center in the country today, PLDT is the only one that offers us the infrastructure that is needed to run services that requires very large volume of bandwidth, vip direct peering with almost all other ISPs in the country, security vip against cyber threats and natural disaster, as well as scalability for future expansion. In view of this, we’d like to emphasize that everyone, regardless of the internet provider you have subscribed, are valued customers to us. It just so happened that the solution with PLDT came in sooner because it is a direct discussion between Garena and PLDT (being vip the data center and ISP themselves) so we were able resolve this relatively faster. Whereas for Globe (and other ISPs), it is a discussion that involves 3 or more parties — Garena, PLDT data center, and the ISP. But as clearly stated in
